OneLiner CIR Negative Sequence Current Injection in Unbalanced Faults

Updated: Apr 21

We discovered two software bugs in OneLiner calculation logic for negative sequence current contribution from CIR. The bugs caused inaccurate results in simulation of unbalanced faults in cases where the CIR parameter "Slope of - seq dynamic reactive-current injection characteristics" is non-zero: 1) The CIR positive sequence reactive current injection does not closely follow the value specified by the CIR parameter "Slope of + seq dynamic reactive-current injection characteristics"; 2)  In cases where the CIR Unit MW Generation parameter is non-zero, the active component of the positive sequence injection current is also not fully accounted for in the program results.

This software bug has been fixed in OneLiner V15.8 Build 41729 and higher. The software update is available on the ASPEN software distribution portal:

We recommend users update their OneLiner software to take advantage of all available bug fixes and improvements.
